How is Bronx Wellness preparing for COVID-19?
We continue to monitor new information about COVID-19, and we are adapting our care practices to reflect the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”), Department of Health (“DOH”), and other overseeing regulatory bodies.
Have additional safety measures been implemented?
We have implemented a COVID-19 specific protocol that includes:
Are you pre-screening patients?
Patients are properly assessed for COVID-19 exposure and risks (via phone or in person) prior to being allowed into our office. Patients will have their temperatures measured and will be required to answer additional Covid-19 specific questions.
Have there been changes to the operating hours?
At this time, the practice has structured a limited patient schedule to ensure minimal interaction within the office space to reinforce proper social distancing protocols. We want to assure our patients that we value their safety and are observing heightened precautions throughout this time.
To accommodate your return, our new office hours are:
What are the guidelines for office visits?
To help you prepare for your appointment, please keep the following in mind:
How soon can I book an appointment?
Our Bronx Wellness Admin team is NOW booking IN-OFFICE APPOINTMENTS!
You can schedule online or it may be best to call us at 718-684-3050 due to the fact that online scheduling may show very limited availability due to the staggered provider schedule.
We would be glad to book your appointment to ensure your desired time is available. Our goal is to schedule your appointment at the best possible time for you.
What if I am unable to keep my appointment?
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call our office with more than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time. Cancellations of less than 24 hours will incur a fee of $50 for the time slot that was reserved for you by the Bronx Wellness provider, if the time slot cannot be filled with another patient.
Are you still offering virtual visits?
Yes, tele-medicine visits are still available for those patients who do not feel comfortable coming into our facility yet. Our Acupuncture Physicians will be able to discuss your symptoms and determine the most effective treatment plan for you to alleviate your pain or discomfort. It is ideal to receive treatment in the office when possible.

A recent article described how COVID-19 has been addressed with TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) quite successfully.
We share it with you because our acupuncture team will be utilizing the "Prevention Protocol" in addition to whatever you may be coming in for.
All massage only clients are welcome to come in for acupuncture as well. Click Here for the full article.
Success against this pandemic requires a dual method of care involving eastern and western medicine.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine can help greatly with the Prevention and treatment phase throughout the course of the disease.
WE WILL be available for phone consultations to assess, evaluate, diagnose and prescribe the appropriate herbal medicine or western supplement.

SUGGESTIONS
A message from our Clinic Director:
"From a Western perspective, there are many supplements out there that are known to boost the immune system.
Although, I cannot guarantee whether they truly are effective or simply placebo, I can honestly tell you that this has been my regimen, especially during changes in seasons and when winter arrives.
I cannot ascertain if it is due to the vitamins and regular acupuncture treatments I get, or the combination of both, but I have not fallen ill in over 8 years and the few instances that I began to develop symptoms, they rarely last more than a day."
DO NOT risk the chance of these going out of stock. Click the link below, type in the vitamin name on the search bar and order the suggested vitamins NOW
We have not experienced something like this in over 100 years, much less of this magnitude. It is important to remember to be kind to one another. This disease will wreak havoc across the globe but we must do our best to flatten the curve and give humanity a fighting chance.
DO NOT panic shop and hoard daily essentials
DO NOT perpetuate panic or fear to an already existing crisis
DO help each other by encouraging preventative measures
DO have faith and trust that this will pass.
ALSO, PLEASE be careful and do not fall victim to 'scams' that will surely increase. Stay in contact with loved ones and make this a time to reflect, pray, plan, and self-nurture.
