Swedish Massage

The most popular massage in the west (and in our center); traditional Swedish massage, also known as the "classical massage," consists mainly of long strokes over oiled skin and kneading of the outer layers of muscle tissue to reduce stress and soothe sore joints and muscles.  Swedish massage relaxes the nervous system, aids circulation, and helps with detoxification.  

Deep-Tissue Massage

Deep-Tissue Massage targets your body’s deepest layers of muscle and releases tension in over stressed areas. When your muscles are severely knotted, this therapeutic treatment is designed to break it up. The therapist employs her thumbs, forearms, and even elbows to work muscle tissue and relieve tension using a mix of slow, short, deep strokes focused on tight, contracted areas. 

Therapeutic Massage

A fusion of massage modalities that incorporates techniques found in Western and Eastern massage, chiropractic, osteopathic, and western physical therapy. Uses a variety of hand techniques and passive and active stretching to restore correct anatomical musculo-skeletal relationships, neuromuscular patterns, and to increase the circulation of blood in order to facilitate healing and prevent further injury.

Pre-Natal Massage

A specialized massage for pregnant women that helps to relax nervous tension, encourages blood and lymph circulation, and reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, all which aid in better sleep and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes. Can be done AFTER 1st trimester and works very well in conjunction with Pre-Natal acupuncture.

Thai Massage

Thai massage uses passive stretching and gentle pressure.  Guided by the body’s energy lines, the therapist uses his or her body to move the client into a variety of positions. Thai massage includes compression of muscles , joint mobilization, and acupressure to increase flexibility, relieve muscle and joint tension and balances the body’s energy systems. The massage takes place on a mat on the floor and loose fitting clothes is recommended. 

Hot Stone Massage

With Hot Stone massage, warmed stones are placed by the therapist on certain areas of the body, such as acupressure points, or may be used as massage tools along with other massage techniques throughout the session.  They can also be temporarily left in place while the therapist works on other areas of the body.  Hot stones can be quite soothing and relaxing as they transmit heat deep into the body. 

Medical Massage

A massage that incorporates techniques that are similar to Western and Asian massage, chiropractic, osteopathic, and western physical therapy. Using a variety of hand techniques and passive and active stretching to restore correct anatomical musculo-skeletal relationships, neuromuscular patterns, and to increase the circulation of  in order to facilitate healing and prevent further injury. 

Reflexology Massage

Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular malady or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress, injury, and illness.

Neck & Face-LIft Massage

A non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process using a Gua Sha Jade tool for sculpt and lift the neck and face to enhance facial features as well as iron-out wrinkles.

Done by a licensed provider, it includes a facial mask with special herbs and tonics intended to nourish, freshen, the skin and 'erase' the wrinkles away.
